The Creature Chronicles

The Creature Chronicles

As the waves roll against the Vale’s dramatic coastline and the breeze rustles through woodland leaves, a whole world of wildlife quietly comes to life. Hidden among the cliffs, fields and forests are creatures with stories to tell — if we take a moment to listen.

The Creature Chronicles is a magical collection of tales created by Louby Lou’s Storytelling, celebrating the endangered species that call the Vale home. Originally brought to life through a series of family-friendly pop-up events across the summer holidays, these stories combined outdoor theatre, walkabout performances and immersive storytelling trails set in some of the Vale’s most beautiful landscapes.

Now, the stories live on for everyone to enjoy.

On this page, you can listen to the tales as audiobooks or read them as downloadable PDFs. Each story shines a light on one of the Vale’s incredible creatures, sharing their adventures while helping us understand why these species need our care and protection.

So settle in, press play or start reading and discover the wonderful wildlife stories waiting to be told in the Vale...
